My husband and I purchased a new home to us. This home was built in 2004. This home was foreclosed and has a few repairs needed to complete. Please follow along as we make some repairs and do it our self. When you  see the bigger picture without all the flaws this will be a beautiful home. We have already started some of the repairs. We are hoping to be fully moved in on Sunday 12/14/04.

new home

The “man cave” room had a busted window. I called a local glass company to replace the glass instead of having to replace the whole window. I am trying to be as frugal as possible with our needed repairs. The laundry room floor has to be replaced. My husband is doing those repairs himself.

We had to purchase 4 new blinds for the windows. We already had blinds that fit the rest of the windows. They just need a good cleaning. We also purchased new kitchen appliances. They are now all black expect the extra oven is white. I am not changing that out.

Moving is a lot of work and you really never realize how much junk you have until you move. I have been trying to sell a few things here and there that we really do not need anymore. I have also been looking online for several deals on things we do need. I love local Facebook groups. I was able to get a nice kitchen table, the kitchen appliances, and a backyard fence for my dogs. I also got Madison a really nice shelf for her bathroom for towels.

I can not wait until spring and I will be able to plant some pretty flowers in the yard. We have never owned our own land before.

Please follow along on all our repairs. We will be looking at Pinterest for great remodeling ideas. Madison has  already picked out a few bathroom projects she has in mind.

One day at a time is now my motto.
