crockpot mac&cheese

I have always loved homemade mac & cheese. It has been awhile since I have made some or even ate some for that matter. With the holidays in full force, I needed something simple yet good to take to a dinner.

I am from the south and mac & cheese is a dish that you will find at almost any gathering. This is so easy and if I can make it, I am sure anyone can make it.

Crockpot Mac & Cheese

12 oz evaporated milk
16 oz box elbow noodles
1 1/2 Whole Milk
1/4 cup butter melted
Salt & Pepper to taste
2 Eggs beaten
4 Cups Sharp cheddar cheese
10 oz block white cheese shredded

Boil noodles and let them cool, I rinsed them under cool water until cooled.Spray crockpot with cooking spray.Mix evaporated milk, whole milk, melted butter, salt & pepper, beaten eggs. Mix all the cheese in the pot and save about 1/2 cups to sprinkle on top.Cook on low heat for about 3 hours and 15 minutes.

I used Trisha Yearwood’s recipe and modified it some.
