I love cabbage any way it is cooked. I really love cabbage rolls. They can be a pain to make, so I thought I would try the unstuffed cabbage. My husband made sure to let me know he likes the cabbage rolls better. I guess I should have cooked a side of rice and that would have made a huge difference. The flavor and taste of the unstuffed cabbage was awesome.

Unstuffed Cabbage

  • 2 lbs of beef (could reduce to one pound)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 cabbage head
  • 2 large cans of diced tomatoes
  • 1 8oz tomato sauce
  • 1 onion
  • salt, and pepper to taste
  • 2 beef cubes

Directions: Heat oil and add beef and onions. Cook thoroughly, add garlic. Drain excess juice from the meat.Once the meat has cooked add cabbage, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, salt, and pepper.

Cook for 25 to 35 minutes until cabbage is tender.

I prepared everything in my Ninja Mc703 Multi Cooker 3 in 1 Cooking System. I love one pot cooking. I slow cooked all day.
